Dudh Kunda Trek is newly opened but popular trekking trials in Solukhumbu region. Dudh Kunda Lake, known as Shorong Yul Lha (protector of Solu region) is located at the foot of Numbur Himal (Dudhkunda Himal). It is a holy lake as people believe that taking a dip into the icy cold water will free them from all their sins. During full-moon nights in August, pilgrims and Jhankris (Shaman Priests) hold a week-long celebration here. You can enjoy panoramic scenes of Mt. Everest, Mt. Numbur, the Everest Himalayan range, rhododendron and pine forests, wild animals and birds such as bear, leopard, jackals mountain thars, Pheasant and much more. Many Ethnic groups such as Sherpas, Khaling Rais, Tamangs, Magars, and Gurungs live here. This trek starts with the flight to Phaplu and treks to Dudhkunda via Salleri, Ringmo, Takshindu, and Saharsbeni, then trek back to Ringmo to Phaplu and flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then Alliance Adventure will brief about your trip Dudh Kunda Trek. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast & Dinner

Day 02: Flight to Phaplu and Trek to Salleri

Flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu (2,469m/8o98ft). The trek from Phaplu to Salleri walking through rhododendron and Pine forest. We can visit Chewang Monastery and the local market in Salleri. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 03: Trek to Takshindu

Trek to Takshindu (2930m/9610ft) via Ringmo. Follow the descending trail from Salleri to Ringmo. Then climb the ridge in Ringmo and pass through pretty Sherpa settlements and forest to Takshindu. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 04: Trek to Saharsbeni

Trek from Takshindu to Saharsbeni (3,835m/12,578ft) 5 to 6 hours. You will follow the scenic path with views of Number Mountain, Khatang Mountain, Karyolung Mountain and other peaks and pass through yak farms and monastery to Saharsbeni. Overnight at Camp – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Trek to Dudhkunda

Trek from Saharsbeni to Dudhkunda (4,560m/14,956ft). The trail continues through the glacier. During full-moon nights in August, pilgrims and Jhankris (Shaman Priests) hold a week-long celebration here in the holy lake of Dudhkunda during which devotees from Nepal and India visit this place. Overnight at Camp – Included Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 06: Trek down to Ringmo

Trek down to Ringmo (2,720m/8,921ft) 5 hours. Ringmo, a culturally rich Sherpa village with beautiful green forest and mountain in the background. Apple wine and yak cheese are popular here. Overnight at Camp (Lodge). Included – Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 07: Trek to Phaplu

Trek from Ringmo to Phaplu (2,469m/8,099ft). The trek continues through the forest to reach Takshindu. Then trail passes through pasture land that is rich in Himalayan vegetation and reaches Phaplu. Overnight at Lodge. Included – Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 08: Flight to Kathmandu

Flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu and then transfer to hotel, free  and rest in the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast

Day 09: Sightseeing in World Heritage Site and Farewell Dinner

Swayambhunath Stupa (3km west of Kathmandu), stands top of the top hill and people mostly knows as “Monkey Temple”. This has been registered in UNESCO heritage at 1979 AD.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu’s Landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the houses of living Hindu goddess and “Kumari House’’.the only living goddess in the world. It was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.

Buddhanath Stupa (8km east of Kathmandu), is one of the largest Stupa in Nepal and in the world and Number of monasteries and Tibetan artifacts selling the shop. The stupa was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.

Pashupatinath Temple (5km east of Kathmandu), Pashupatinath is the Hindus holy pilgrims, most impotent Hindu Temple in Nepal and all over from India.  Bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats and Stands on the banks of Bagmati River.The temple was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.

Day 10: Departure your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure will send you to the airport for onward destination to your country. Included Breakfast

  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus and Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm filled jacket.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc, to avoid sunburn.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • Day bag 20 to 25 Litters.
  • 1/2 liter of Water bottle
  • You must start training yourself if possible every day or if can’t make it once a week or one day hiking in Mountain in your country or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We need your flight details and your passport photocopy and passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • 50% deposit in the company account and rest of balance whence you arrive in Kathmandu airport than clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival gate in Kathmandu airport Immigration. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and 30 Days USD 40.
