Jomsom Muktinath trekking has been one of the most demanding and popular trekking trails in Annapurna region. It is the gateway to the upper Mustang and the trail is primarily for exploring the Tibetan plateau. The trail is located in the north of the Pokhara. This trail is considered to be one of the best areas in order to have closest views of the majestic mountains lying in the Annapurna region. This trail is also famous for the pilgrimage tour especially to have toured around the Muktinath, one of the Hindu and Buddhist shrines in the country and also to have a bath in natural hot water. In the same trekking you will have chance to have toured in Poon Hill, one of the finest viewpoints to the panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas such as Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Nilgiri (7040m), Mt. Annapurna south (7219m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Mt.  Annapurna IV (7525m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Fishtail also called Machhapuchhare (6998m), Tukuche peak (6920m), Lamjung Himal (6586m) among others. Besides, you also can enjoy the mixed culture of various ethnic groups namely Brahmin, Chhetri, Thakali, Magar, Gurung among others and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and pilgrimage trekking tour to both Hindu and Buddhist in Annapurna Himalayan range.

Jomsom Muktinath trekking begins with 30- minute flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, the major trading center in lower Mustang and heads towards north to Kagbeni along the river bank of Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world, following the trial it finally takes to Muktinath temple. It passes through many fascinating Thakali indigenous peoples settlements sails out the Marpha village, the famous village for apple brandy. You also can enjoy having the shower in Tatopani (Natural hot spring) and visit Ghorepani Poon hill for sunrise over the mountain and have panoramic views of the various Himalayas lying in Annapurna region. From the same way you will return back to Jomsom and fly back to Pokhara or return back to Ghandruk, the largest settlement of Gurung ethnic groups and have great views of Annapurna south and Machhapachare, finally you will descend down to Nayapul, from there, you will catch vehicles and reach in Pokhara.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd will brief about your trip Jomsom Muktinath Trek. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (9,50m/3,116ft) 6 to 7 hours. During the journey you will see countryside of lifestyle, that’s offering green hill, rivers, farms and beautiful sceneries. Overnight at Hotel – BB.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapull then trek to Tikhedunga or Ulleri

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,010m/3,313ft) 1 hour 30 minutes then trek to Ulleri (2,010m/6,600ft) 5 hours. the trekking will be along the road until Hile (1495M/4,905ft) and enjoy the river views and sceneries. From Tikhedhunga to Ulleri walk up above three thousand stone steps. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani

Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,840m/9,315ft) 4 to 5 hours. the trail leading to peace jungle waterfall and a small market town of Ghorepani. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 05: Hike to Poon Hill then trek to Tatopani

Early morning Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft) 1 hour and trek to TadaPani (1,190m/3,904ft) 5 to 6 hours. Today you will see most spectacular views of Annapurna range and wonderful panoramic views of the 8th Highest mountain in the world Mt. Dhaulagiri (8Dhaulagiriato – Hot and Pani water (hot spring natural hot water, you can enjoy a couple of hours that is good for health).Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 06: Drive from Tatopani to Marpha

Drive from Tatopani to Marpha (2,670m/8,760ft) 3 hours. The journey along the Kali Gandaki, Marpha village which is Apple orchids as well as Apple Brandy products by Japanese Campany. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 07: Trek from Marpha to Kagbeni

Trek from Marpha to Kagbeni (2,800m/9,184ft) 5 to 6 hours. The trail will be leading again to Kali Gandaki river and Jomsom which is Headquarter of Mustang District. You will get Tibetan and Gurung mixed ancient cultural heritage in Kagbeni which is a gateway to Upper Mustang Trekking. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 08: Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath

Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,800m/12,464ft) 3 to 4 hours. Today you will see the most beautiful landscape with views of Annapurna ranges, oldest village of Jharkot and explore around Muktinath. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 09: Drive from Muktinath to Jomsom

Drive from Muktinath to Jomsom 2 hours. In the morning visit to holy pilgrimage site for both Hindu and Buddhist monasteries, committed to the Lord Vishnu. Nearby Muktinath Temple there is Jwala Mai Temple that has 108 waterspout and everlastng flame fed by natural underground gas. After lunch drive to Jomsom. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 10: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara

Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara 25 to 30 minutes. Early morning during the flight you will catch the spectaculars views of Himalayan. After check into the Hotel explore the Pokhara city. Overnight at Hotel – BB

Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu – 200km 6 to 7 hours. The journey through the Prithvi highway road passing by terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, hills and along the Marshyndi and Trishuli rivers. Check the Hotel, rest, and free. Overnight at Hotel – BB

Day 12: Departure your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure send to the airport for your onward destination to your own country.

  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus and Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc, to avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You must start to train yourself when you are free once a week once or one day hiking in Mountain in your country or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We have to need your flight detail and passport photocopy and passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • 50% deposit into the company account and rest of balance whence you arrive in Kathmandu airport then clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival gate in Kathmandu airport immigration. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
