Tamang Heritage Trail is another popular trekking trail in Langtang region and situated at the Tibet border. It is enclosed with the snow-capped mountains that end in the peak of Langtang Lirung (7246m). The Tamang Heritage trail offers superb Himalayan views including of Langtang lirung, Langtang Himalayan range and Ganesh Himal range among others, as well as the nature Hot Spring water, Tibetan monasteries, wild animals such as mountain snow leopards, jackal, red panda, monkeys therefore, it has been the center of attraction among many tourists coming to Nepal.
Tamang Heritage trail begins from Syabru Bensi, which can be reached by 7 to 8-hour drive from Kathmandu, then trek through larch and rhododendron forests which is rich in wildflowers and birds and between you can explore and enjoy the stunning views of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and the Annapurna massif. During the trekking, you will pass through the sub-tropical jungle, then a dense forest of oak, birch, and pine, and the valley, which is of alpine meadows and yak pastures, then you will descend from the upper Langtang Valley, retracing the route back to Syabru besi village then drive back to Kathmandu.
