Tharpu Chuli peak (Tent Peak) climbing is one another most popular peak climbing situated in Annapurna region. The peak was nicknamed ‘Tent Peak’ by Jimmy Roberts in 1956. It is one of the most demanded peaks in Nepal as this peak climbing is often combined with the trekking in Annapurna circuit trekking. This trip has been much demanded among the clients of Alliance Adventure, because, it is combined with other trekking trails among the trekking peaks in Nepal. It has been a popular trail as it provides unsurpassed panoramic views and eye-catching Himalayan scenery. Chulu peak climbing trekking has been wildly recognized as a paradise for nature lovers as it offers a spectacular view of a number of the Himalayas including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Fishtail and landscape, wild animals, monasteries as well as mixed cultural trekking tour. This trekking provides the panoramic sceneries of Himalayas, including of the Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m) Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937 m.) , Mt. Annapurna III (7555m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7525m), Mt. Annapurna south (7219m), Mt. Nilgiri (7041m), Mt. Fishtail also called Mt. Machhapuchhare (6998m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6986m),Tukuche peak (6920m), Tilicho peak (7134m).

The trekking to the area begins from Pokhara, some 7-hour drive or 30-minute direct flight from Kathmandu, then drive up to Nayapul and begin trek to Ghorepani and have excursion over Poon Hill area and then continue to Chhomrong, Deurali and reach to Annapurna base camp, have excursion around then finally reach to Tharpuchuli base camp, have summit over this peak and return to Machhapuchre (fishtail) base camp and similarly return to Chhomrung and drive back to Pokhara and subsequently to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel, then  Alliance Adventure will brief about your trip Tharpu Chulu Peak. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast & Dinner

Day 02: Sightseeing and Preparation your Peak climbing

Half Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and Preparation your Peak climbing: Alliance Adventure Tour Guide explore one of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu’s Landmarks that are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the houses of living Hindu goddess and “Kumari House’’. Swayambhunath; stands top of the top hill and west of the city, people mostly know as “Monkey Temple”. This has been registered in UNESCO heritage site. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (9,50m/3,116ft) 6 to 7 hours. During the journey you will be seeing the countryside of lifestyle, that’s offering green hills, rivers, farms and beautiful sceneries. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul then trek to Ulleri

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,010m/3,313ft) 1 hour 30 minutes, then trek to Ulleri (2,010m/6,600ft) 5 hours. The trekking will be along the road until Hile (1495M/4,905ft) and enjoy the river views and sceneries. After reaching Tikhedhunga, then move up to Ulleri which is above three thousand stone steps. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani

Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,840m/9,315ft) 4 to 5 hours. After breakfast, the trail will be leading through peace jungle, waterfall and the small market town of Ghorepani. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill than trek to Chule

Early morning Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft) 1 hour and trek to Chule (2,520m/8,266ft) 5 to 6 hours. Today you will see the amazing sunrise and spectacular views of Annapurna range and wonderful panoramic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) which is the 8th Highest mountain in the world. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 07: Trek from Chule to Chhomrong village

Trek from Chule to Chhomrong village (2,170m/7,17ft) 4 hours and Rest of Day. The trail through to Gurjung Khola offering good views of the west bank of Modi Khola, after crossing bridge reach to Gurjung village, then continues the steep climb to the Chhomrong village, has views of mighty peaks of Annapurna South, Humchuli, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre (fishtail) facing across the valley. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 08: Trek from Chhomrong village to Bamboo

Trek from Chhomrong village to Bamboo 5 (2,335m/7,590ft) hours. The trail will make a flight of stone steps to the Chhomrong Khola and wooded slopes of Himalayan, suspension bridge and an hour steeply climb to Sinuwa. The walking through thick Oak, bamboo and Rhododendron forest. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 09: Trek from Bamboo to Deurali

Trek from Bamboo to Deurali (3,200m/10,496ft) 5 hours. The trekking leads gradually climbing up along the river through Oak, rhododendron, thick bamboo forests, solitary places, and Hinkow cave. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp

Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,547ft) 5 to 6 hours. Trekking through into the Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12,136ft), along with the trek you will enjoy great magnificent views and you will stand at the center point of the Himalayan and can enjoy amazing sunset and sunrise from base camp. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Rest and Acclimatization

Rest and Acclimatization in Annapurna Base Camp: Today you are taking rest in the lodge but after breakfast, if you would like to hike around a couple of hours you can explore around the Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12: Trek from ABC to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp

Trek from ABC to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp (4,250m/13,940ft) 4 to 5 hours. The trail leads along the same of halfway before you reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp on left-hand continues through into the Annapurna glacier and you have to walk slowly with carefully on glacier. After completing the glacier you reach to base camp. Overnight at Camp – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13: Trek from Base Camp to High Camp

Trek from Base Camp to High Camp (5,200m/17,056ft) 4 to 5 hours. Today you are steep on Tharpu Chuli Peak (Tent Peak) to the High Camp. The track mostly uses to fix rope and helmet when you ascend on 50 to 60-degree steep path around 2 to 3 hours after that walk on the glacier about 30 degrees then toward your camp side. From the camp, you can get panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhare (Fishtail) and more other peaks. After lunch prepares the climbing gears for the summit. Overnight at Camp – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14: Summit to Tharpu Chuli than back to High Camp

Climbing from High Camp to Summit Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak (5,800m/19,024ft) than back to High Camp 9 to 10 hours. You have to wake-up early morning at 2 t 3 am and hot breakfast then start your climbing begin to walk on the rock wall around 2 hours after that walking on the flat snow around an hour. The climbing slope steep of 70 degrees around 100m after that 30 to 40 minutes you will reach your final destination to top of the summit Tharpu Chuli Peak and get together sheering the happiness and group photo section. From the top of the peak, you see amazing panoramic views, then back to High Camp. Overnight at Camp – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15: Extra day of Contingency

Extra day of Contingency: The weather does not guarantee that’s why this day set aside as a contingency encase unable to the summit to Pisang Peak on the desired day due to the bad weather or any other region. If the trip goes smoothly, this day will not be required. Overnight at Camp – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 16: Trek from High Camp to Dovan

Trek from High Camp to Dovan 6 to 7 hours. In the morning hot breakfast then trek through down to Dovan via same way following from Machhapuchhare Base Camp. When you check into the lodge enjoy the hot shower and celebrate your success to the summit Tent Peak in the Lodge. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 17: Trek from Dovan to Jinu Danda

Trek from Dovan to Jinu Danda (1,610m/5,281ft) 5 to 6 hours. The trail leads to unforgettable life stone steps in Chhomrong village and you will enjoy the natural Hot Spring 20 minutes far from your lodge. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 18: Trek from Jinu Danda to Siwui then Drive back to Pokhara

Trek from Jinu Danda to Siwui 3 hours then Drive back to Pokhara 2 hours and check to the Hotel and explore around Pokhara valley. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast and Lunch

Day 19: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 200km 6 to 7 hours. The journey through the Prithvi highway road passing by terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, hills and along the Marshyndi and Trishuli rivers. Check into the Hotel and rest and Alliance Adventure will offer you Nepali culture Dinner at night and you will be hand over your trekking permit, Tims card. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast and Dinner

Day 20: Final Departure to your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure will take you to the airport for your onward destination to your own country. Included Breakfast

  • Strongly advised not to go wandering unless in large group (the “poor” men would have to Suffer at the hands of the ladies who would want to shop), Always be aware of your surroundings.
  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus & Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Keep Travel Document in Hotel safety box.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc. To avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You must start to train yourself when you are free once a week once or one day hiking in Mountain in your country or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We have to need your flight detail and passport photocopy and Passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • 50% per person deposit to company account and rest of balance when you arrive at Kathmandu airport clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival gate in Kathmandu airport immigration. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
