Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600m) trekking is another most popular trekking trails in Everest region. One of the reasons, why it is such famous is that it offers a unique and unforgettable experience with awesome views of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountains– Mt. Everest (8,848 m). The trekking to this region has been famous ever since Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa made their first successful summit in 1953. The trek is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and friendliness of its inhabitants (Sherpa). It is the most famous and challenging trek in Khumbu region, one of the most popular destinations for tourists. The Everest base camp trekking is considered to be one of the most rewarding adventure trips in Khumbu Himalaya range as there are superb Himalayan sceneries including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m),  Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m) , Mt. Twache peak (6367m), Mt. Cholaste (6335m) and sometimes you also can spot various animals such as musk dears,  mountain Goads, birds such as Pheasant, long tails birds and beautiful blend of Sherpa culture, while having trekking through this route.

The trekking to Ama Dablam base camp begins by flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip to Lukla, the heart of Everest Region, then after around three hours walk, you will reach Phakding and then you continue to Dudh Kosi valley and to Namche Bazaar, where you spend one day for acclimatization. The next day, you will continue trekking to Ama Dablam base camp and return back to Lukla and catch the flight to Kathmandu. Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd. arranges the trekking to this region the whole year, however the best times to have trekking are from the beginning of March to mid-May and from the beginning of September to mid-November.

PACKAGE DETAILS

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then visit Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd will brief about your trip Ama Dablam Base Camp. Overnight at Hotel – Included Dinner

Day 02: Flight to Lukla then Trek to Phakding

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m/9,315ft) then trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,560ft) 3/4 hours: Today early flight to Lukla takes approximately 30 minutes from here. Then you will trek to Phakding and you will catch a glimpse of some great mountains such as Nupla (5885m) above Kongde Ridge, Kusum Kang (6367m appears on the right a little later. All along you will be following the northern (left) bank of the Dudh Kosi River. It is important to take these first few days slowly to enable your body to acclimatize and to enjoy the passing scenery and culture. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazzar

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft) 5 to 6 hours: Today trek begins on the level ground, relative to the environment in which you are! You will cross the river on a high suspension bridge and begin to climb up to Monjo (2835m) and on to the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park Entrance in place to protect and preserve this beautiful environment. There is a good rest stop on the way where you will see people gathered, admiring the first real chance to see Everest in the distance. On the way up today, you will be rewarded with views of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Konde-Ri and Tawache Peak then we reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 04: Rest and Acclimatization Day

Rest in Namche Bazaar and Acclimatization: This is first scheduled ‘acclimatization’ day for this trek. Health experts always recommend us to stay active and moving during the rest day too instead of being idle. We either spend the day taking a day’s hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or carry out relaxed exploration of Namche Bazaar itself. If we trek a few hundred vertical feet during the day, it will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides will take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche Monastry

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery (3,860m/12,660ft) 5 to 6 hours: Today your journey starts with excellent views of Ama Dablam and Everest among others along the way through. From Sanasa trail descends to Phunki Thanga from where you have a 2-hour climb to Tengboche Monastery, one of the biggest Monasteries in Solu Khumbu region. You will come to a stone gate which marks the entrance to Tengboche, the religious center of the Khumbu region and descend through rhododendron forests to pastures below and Deboche. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 06: Trek to Pangboche

Trek from Tyangboche Monastery to Pangboche Village (3,985m/13,070ft) 3 hours. Visit around Pangboche village and oldest Gomba in Solu Khumbu region. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 07: Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp

Hike from Pangboche village to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600m/15,088ft) to Pangboche village 6 to 7 hours. Early morning hot breakfast and trek to Ama Dablam base camp and back to the same place. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 08: Trek to Namche Bazzar

Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar 5/6 hours: After breakfast trek back same way as the day before of Monastery. the trail walks downhill then keep climb for about an hour before you encounter the scenic walk back into Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 09: Trek back to Lukla

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,840m/9,315ft) 6 to 7 hours: Today is your last day in Khumbu region and you can join last minutes with your Guide and Potters and can celebrate farewell dinner with them. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 10: Flight Back to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner

Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner: You have to wake-up early in the morning and take breakfast then check in the Lukla airport and flight to Kathmandu. Alliance Adventure will come to pick-up in the Domestic airport and transfer to the Hotel then you will be free and take a rest with enjoying the Hot shower. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast and Dinner

Day 11: Departure to International airport

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure drive you to the airport for your onward destination to your own country – Included Breakfast

  • Strongly advised not to go wandering unless in large group (the “poor” men would have to suffer at the hands of the ladies who would want to shop), Always be aware of your surroundings.
  • Do not / not give money to street children/beggars.
  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus, Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc, to avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You most start your train yourself when you are free or once a week once a day hiking in your country mountain or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We need your flight detail and your passport copy, passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • 50% deposit per person into the company account and rest of balance whence you arrive in Kathmandu airport then clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival gate in Kathmandu airport immigration, and you need to stay your hotel name or local agency details. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
