Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular trekking trails in Everest region. One of the reasons, why it is such famous is that it offers a unique and unforgettable experience with awesome views of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountains– Mt. Everest (8,848 m). The trekking to this region has been famous ever since Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa made their first successful summit in 1953. The trek is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and friendliness of its inhabitants (Sherpa). It is the most famous and challenging trek in Khumbu region, one of the most popular destinations for tourists. Everest Base Camp Trek is considered to be one of the most rewarding adventure trips in Khumbu Himalaya range as there are superb Himalayan sceneries including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m) , Mt. Twache peak (6367m), Mt. Cholaste (6335m) ,Island peak (6179m), Lobuche peak (6145m),Pokalde peak (5806m), Honku south peak (6119m) and sometimes you also can spot various animals such as musk dears, leopards, jackals, mountain Thar, birds such as Pheasant, long tails birds and beautiful blend of Sherpa culture, while having trekking through this route.

Everest Base Camp Trek begins by flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip to Lukla, the heart of Everest Region, then after around three hours walk, you will reach Phakding and then you continue north up to Dudh Kosi valley and to Namche Bazaar, where you spend one day for acclimatization. The next day, you will continue trekking to Kala-Pattar and subsequently to the Everest base camp. You have time for rest one day in Dingboche or Pheriche in between and for some side-trips and for further acclimatization from the area, you can have some magnificent views of Everest along with Nuptse, Lhotse, and Mount Pumori and return back to Lukla and catch the flight to Kathmandu. Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd. Arranges the trekking to this region, the whole year around. However, the best times for Everest Base Camp Trek is beginning of March to mid-May and from the beginning of September to mid-November.

Details of Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then visit Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd will brief about your trip Everest Base Camp Trek. Overnight at Hotel – Included Dinner

Day 02: Flight to Lukla then trek to Phakding

Flight from Kathmandu Domestic Airport to Lukla airport (2840m/9,315ft) about 30/35 minutes flight then trek to Phakding (2610m/8,560ft) 3 hours OR Monjo (2,835m/9,299ft) 5 hours. From today Everest Base Camp Trek starts by foot You will catch a glimpse of some great mountains such as Nupla (5,885m/19,302ft) above Kongde Ridge, Kusum Kang (6367m appears on the right a little later. All along you will be following the northern (left) bank of the Dudh Kosi River. It is important to take these first few days slowly to enable your body to acclimatize and to enjoy the passing scenery and culture. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft) 6 to 7 hours. Namche Bazaar is one of the biggest market towns in Everest region as Acclimatization place of trekking and expedition. Today begins on the level ground, relative to the environment in which you are! You will cross the river on a high suspension bridge and begin to climb up to Monjo (2,835m) and onto the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park Entrance in place to protect and preserve this beautiful environment. There is a good rest stop on the way up to where you will see people gathered, admiring the first real chance to see Everest in the distance. On the way up today, you will be rewarded with views of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Konde-Ri and Tawache Peak than we reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 04: Rest and Acclimatization

Rest and Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. Today your Guides will take you to Visitor Center of headquarter Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascendance’s, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region. Everest view Hotel (3,880m/12,727ft) which one is highest 5star Hotel high altitude in the world. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Trek to Deboche

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Deboche (3,820m/12,530ft) 5/6 hours. Today’s journey starts with excellent views of Ama Dablam and Everest view along the trail then descends to Phunki Thanga where it takes 2-hour to climb to Tengboche Monastery, one of the biggest Monasteries in Solu Khumbu region.  The religious center of the Khumbu region and then trek walk down to Depoche. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 06: Trek to Pheriche

Trek from Deboche to Pheriche (4,244m/13,921ft) 5 hours. Pheriche has Himalayan Recuse Association visit and knows about what’s the mountain sickness by international volunteer Doctor’s will brief you about the high altitude sickness.  Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 07: Rest and Acclimatization in Pheriche

Rest and Acclimatization in Pheriche after short hiking and enjoy the outstanding mountain views, particularly the north face of Ama Dablam and Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. There are several walk options enabling your body to acclimatization and visit to Himalayan Rescue Association and know about what’s the mountain sickness by international volunteer Doctor’s will brief you about the high altitude sickness. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche

Trek from Pheriche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) 5 to 6 hours. Today mostly all the way to Lobuche climb up and catching mountain high altitude, very thin air in your body that’s why you have to keep slow walk with keeping long breathing. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 09: Trek to Gorakshep & Everest Base Camp

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak-Shep (5140m/16,860ft) 3 hours. After lunch hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft) 2 to 3 hours then back to Lodge in Gorak-Shep. You will ascend gently, to begin with through lovely pasture lands; you will follow the rocky moraine path with views of the Khumbu Glacier. Gorakshep is on a flat field below Kala Pattar (5545m) and Pumori (7145m), good spot for lunch after lunch 2/3 hours walk, following to the present Everest Base Camp then back to Lodge. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Hike to Kalapater then trek back to Lobuche

Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Pattar (5545m/18,188ft) 2 to 3 hours and trek to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) 3 hours: Early morning wake-up and your last challenging point top of Kala Patter is quite a spectacular view of West face of Everest (8,848m/29,022ft), Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and more after that trek back to Lobuche. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Trek to Tyangboche

Trek from Lobuche to Tyangboche Monastery (3,867m/12,684ft)  6 hours. After breakfast, you have to walk down all the way to Tengboche via same way by Pangboche. Tengboche Monastery is famous Monastery in Khumbu region as well as biggest Monastery and the best time to visit in Monastery after 3 pm until 5 pm or early in the morning because all lamas are at the work-ship time. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12: Trek to Manju

Trek from Tyangboche Monastery to Monjo (2,835m/9,299ft) 5 to 6 hours. After breakfast, the trail walks downhill to Phunki Thanga then keeping climb up about an hour before you encounter the scenic walk back into Namche Bazaar and keep continues again walk downhill to the Monjo Village. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13: Trek to Lukla Airport

Trek from Monjo to Lukla airport (2,840m/9,315ft) 5 hours. Today is your last day trekking with your Guide and Potter. You can invite Dinner of celebration for your successful Everest Base Camp Trek with guide and porters. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14: Flight back to Kathmandu

Early morning Flight from Lukla airport to Kathmandu Domestic Airport and Alliance Adventure staff will come to pick-up after that transfer to Hotel and enjoy the Hot shower with rest as free. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast

Day 15: Sightseeing in world Heritage site and Farewell Dinner

Sightseeing in World Heritage site and Farewell Dinner. After breakfast tour guide will explore the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu’s Landmarks that are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the houses of living Hindu goddess and “Kumari House’’.

Swayambhunath; stands top of the top hill and west of the city, people mostly know as “Monkey Temple”. This has been registered in UNESCO heritage site.

Buddhanath stupa is 5 km east of Kathmandu, one of the largest in the world and number of monasteries and many Tibetan artifacts selling shops.

Pashupatinath is the Hindus holy pilgrims, most impotent Hindu Temple in Nepal and all over from India. Bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats and Stands on the banks of Bagmati River.

Day 16: Departure your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport after wonderful trips to Everest Base Camp Trek. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure drive to the airport for your onward destination your own country. Included Breakfast

  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus & Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc. To avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You must train yourself when you are free or once a week once a day or day hiking in your country mountain or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We need your flight detail and passport photocopy and Passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • Per Person 50%  deposit to company account and rest of balance when you arrive at Kathmandu airport clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival visa in Kathmandu airport immigration and you need your Hotel name or travel agency details. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
