Gokyo Ri, Cho La Pass and Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the frequently organized trekking routes by Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd. It is one of the combined trekking routes in order to impart tourists including you to offer a unique and unforgettable experience with awesome views of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountains– Mt. Everest (8,848 m). This is one of the most famous trekking routes in the Khumbu region. The Cho La Pass (5,420 m) is one of the most popular and spectacular destinations for adventure seekers. While having trekking to Gokyo Ri, Cho La Pass and Everest Base Camp Trek route you will have the superb views of the majestic Himalayas including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m), Mt. Twache peak (6367m), Mt. Cholaste (6335m), Island peak (6179m), Lobuche peak (6145m), Pokalde peak (5806m), Honku south peak (6119m). If you are lucky, sometimes, you also can spot various rare animals such as musk dears, leopards, jackals, mountain Thar, birds such as Pheasant, long tails birds. Besides, you will have the chance to explore the beautiful blend of Sherpa culture, while having trekked through this route.

The trekking to Gokyo Ri, Cho La Pass and Everest Base Camp Trek area either begins from Kathmandu to Jiri by Bus or direct flight by mountain airstrip to Lukla, the heart of the Everest Region, then around three hours walk from the airport you will reach the first stop at Phakding and continue trip to the north up to the Dudh Kosi Valley and Namche Bazaar. Next day, the trekking continues to Everest base camp, after having one day rest in Dingboche or Pheriche, where you will have some magnificent views of Everest along with Nuptse, Lhotse, and Mount Pumori Himalayas and then we return back to Lobuche head to Zongla and we pass the Cholula and stay overnight at Thangnak. Subsequently, next morning, we trek to Gokyo Lake. The Gokyo Peak (5480m) ascent is the one of the tourist attraction of this circuit, we have incredible scenery, including magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Makalu, Cho Oyo (8153m) and Lhotse (8511m) finally reach the Everest base camp and the return back down to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd. Arranges the trekking to this region, the whole year round, however the best times to have trekking are March, April, May, and September, October, and November.

PACKAGE DETAILS

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then visit Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd will brief about your trip Gokyo Lake, Cho La Pass & Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Hotel – Included Dinner

Day 02: Flight to Lukla Airport then trek to Phakding

Flight from Kathmandu Domestic Airport to Lukla airport (2840m/9,315ft) about 30/35 minutes flight then trek to Phakding (2610m/8,560ft) 3 hours OR Monjo (2,835m/9,299ft) 5 hours. You will catch a glimpse of some great mountains such as Nupla (5,885m/19,302ft) above Kongde Ridge, Kusum Kang (6367m appears on the right a little later. All along you will be following the northern (left) bank of the Dudh Kosi River. It is important to take these first few days slowly to enable your body to acclimatize and to enjoy the passing scenery and culture. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft) 6 to 7 hours. Namche Bazaar is one of biggest market town in Everest region as Acclimatization place of trekking and expedition. Today begins on the level ground, relative to the environment in which you are! You will cross the river on a high suspension bridge and begin to climb up to Monjo (2,835m) and on to the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park Entrance in place to protect and preserve this beautiful environment. There is a good rest stop on the way up to where you will see people gathered, admiring the first real chance to see Everest in the distance. On the way up today, you will be rewarded with views of Kusum Kangaru, Thamserku, Konde-Ri and Tawache Peak than we reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 04: Rest and Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

Rest and Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. Today your Guides will take you to Visitor Center of headquarter Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascendance, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plants and animals life of the Everest region. Everest view Hotel (3,880m/12,727ft) which is the highest 5star Hotel at high altitude in the world. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, Internet, cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Trek to Khumjung Village

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Khumjung Village (3,790m/12,431ft) 3 hours and again Rest and Acclimatization in Khumjung Village and Explore Hillary School. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 06: Trek to Dole

Trek from Khumjung Village to Dole (4,200m/13,776ft) 5 to 6 hours. Ancient historical Chorten stand at the center of the settlements of Mong La Danda and after lunch trek through to Dole. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 07: Trek to Machhermo

Trek from Dole to Machhermo (4,470m/14,662ft) 4 to 5 hours. Machhermo has Himalayan Recuse Association visit and knows about what’s the mountain sickness by an international volunteer. Doctors will brief you about the high altitude sickness. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo Lake

Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4,790m/15,712ft) 5 hours. Amazing natural lakes and views along the trek. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 09: Summit to Gokyo Ri and Rest in Lodge

Early breakfast and trek to Gokyo Ri (5380m/17,647ft) 3 hours from the Lodge to summit peak and from the summit you will see one of the amazing spectacular Himalayan views snow cover mountains including Mt. Everest which is the highest mountain in the world, lakes, and glaciers. Rest in Gokyo Lake. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Trek to Thagnak

Trek from Gokyo Lake to Thagnak (4,750m/15,580ft) 3 to 4 hours. The trekking will be same way following 2nd Lake then a trail through left of Gokyo Glacier.  Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Trek to Cho-La-Pass then trek through to Dzon La

Trek from Thagnak to Dzon La (4,710m/15,450ft). Early morning start the trekking and summit to the Cho La Pass (5,367m/17,700ft) 7 to 8 hours. Today is the challenging day of trekking because of Pass and amazing spectacular views around you. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12: Trek to Lobuche

Trek from Dzon La to Lobuche (4,940m/16,300ft) 3 to 4 hours. After breakfast, the trail leads along the side of Khumbu Glacier water and under the Lobuche Peak. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13: Trek to Gorak-Shep then Hike to Everest Base Camp

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak-Shep (5140m/16,860ft) 3 hours. after lunch hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft) 2 to 3 hours then back to Lodge in Gorak-Shep. when you reach in Base Camp you will fill touching Mt. Everest because every expedition group starting from the base and you will be seeing a lot expedition group of tents in the base as you will touching Khumbu Glacier. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14: Hike to Kala Pather then Trek back to Lobuche

Early morning hike up to Kala Pather (5,545m/18,188ft) from Gorak-Shep 2 to 3 hours. Kala Pather is one of the best viewpoint of Mt. Everest (8,848m/29,022ft) the highest mountain in the world and will catch very close.  From the top, you will see middle of snow mountain and amazing Khumbu Glacier.  After breakfast trek back to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) 3 hours. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15: Trek to Tyangboche Monastery

Trek from Lobuche to Tyangboche Monastery (3,867m/12,684ft) 6 hours. After breakfast, you have to walk down all the way to Tengboche via same way by Pangboche. Tengboche Monastery is famous Monastery in Khumbu region as well as biggest Monastery and the best time to visit in Monastery after 3 pm to 5 pm or early in the morning because all lamas are at a work-ship time. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 16: Trek back to Monjo

Trek from Tyangboche Monastery to Monjo (2,835m/9,299ft) 5 to 6 hours. After breakfast, the trail walks downhill o Phunki Thanga then keep climbing up about an hour before you encounter the scenic walk back into Namche Bazaar and again walk downhill to the Monjo Village. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 17: Trek to Lukla Airport

Trek from Monjo to Lukla airport (2,840m/9,315ft) 5 hours. Today is your last day trekking with your Guide and Potter and you can invite Dinner for the celebration of your successful Everest Base Camp trekking. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu

Early morning Flight from Lukla airport to Kathmandu Domestic Airport and Alliance Adventure staff will come to pick-up. After that transfer to Hotel and enjoy the Hot shower with rest as free. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast

Day 19: Sightseeing in world Heritage site & Farewell Dinner

Sightseeing in World Heritage site and Farewell Dinner. After breakfast tour guide will explore one of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu’s Landmarks that are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the houses of living Hindu goddess and “Kumari House’’.

Swayambhunath; stands top of the top hill and west of the city, people mostly known as “Monkey Temple”. This has been registered in UNESCO heritage site.

Buddhanath stupa is 5 km east of Kathmandu, one of the largest in the world and number of monasteries and many Tibetan artifacts selling shops.

Pashupatinath is the Hindus holy pilgrims, most impotent Hindu Temple in Nepal and all over from India. Bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats and Stands on the banks of Bagmati River.

Day 20: Departure your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure drive you to the airport for your onward destination to your own country – Included Breakfast

  • Flight ticket from Kathmandu to Lukla to Kathmandu including airport tax.

  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus & Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc, to avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You most start your train yourself when you are free or once a week or once a day hiking in your country mountain or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We need your flight detail and passport photocopy and passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • 50% deposit into the company account and rest of balance whence you arrive in Kathmandu airport then clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival visa in Kathmandu airport immigration, and you need to stay your hotel name or local agency details. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
