Khair trekking is one of the most famous trekking trails in Annapurna region. This trail goes through the Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani poon hill, Sweta and then reaches to Khair Lake and making trips around, it turns back to Tadapani and Ghandruk and finally ends at Birethanti. Khair trekking is considered to be the heart of Annapurna region. While having trekking to the area, you will have a chance to have majestic views of Mt. Annapurna III, IV, Machhapuchhre (fishtail), Lamjung Himal, Dhampus peak and other mountains and peak lying in the area.  One of the attractions of this trekking is that you will have a chance to see the sunrise and sunset from the Ghorepani Poonhil.

The Khair trekking begins either begins at Nayapul or Phedi, which can be reached by a short drive from Pokhara then the trekking continues to through the forested ridges and passes the traditional villages, lust forest and finally reaches to the sacred Khair Lake (4500 Meter), which is situated in between the snow-capped mountains. The pleasant tranquil trails lead you through rhododendron forest, sometimes you will spot some wildlife and vegetation like orchids. You will view Himchuli and Annapurna south while ascending through the rhododendron forest and alpine meadows and finally you will make it to the Khaire Baraha(4,500m), making excursion of the area, you will return back through the same way-you’re,  trek ends at Nayapul or Phadi and you will return back to Pokhara and fly or drive back to Kathmandu.

PACKAGE DETAILS

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd will brief about your Khair Trek. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast & Dinner

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (9,50m/3,116ft) 6 to 7 hours. During the journey you will see countryside of lifestyle, that’s offering green hill, rivers, farms and beautiful sceneries. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 03: Drive to Nayapull then trek to Tikhedunga or Ulleri

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,010m/3,313ft) 1 hour 30 minutes, then trek to Ulleri (2,010m/6,600ft) 5 hours. the trekking will be along the road until Hile (1495M/4,905ft) and enjoy the river views and sceneries. From Tikhedhunga to Ulleri walk up to the above three thousand stone steps. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani

Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,840m/9,315ft) 4 to 5 hours. the trail will be leading to peace jungle, waterfall and small market town of Ghorepani. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Hike to Poon Hill then trek to Swata

Early morning Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft) 1 hour and trek to Swata (2,270m/7,4450ft) 3 to 4 hours. Today you will see the amazing sunrise as spectacular views of Annapurna range and wonderful panoramic views of the 8th Highest mountain in the world Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m). Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 06: Trek to Kobra Danda

Trek from Swata to Kobra Danda (4,020m/13,200ft) 5 hours. The trail through walking into the jungle of Rhododendron. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 07: Trek to Khair Base Camp

Trek from Kobra Danda to Khair Base Camp (4,620m/15,155ft) 5 to 6 hours.  After breakfast trek through to rhododendron forest, around the Annapurna range. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 08: Hike to Khair Base Camp

Early breakfast in lodge and Hiking to base camp and explore the Kalibaraha holy lake and amazing Annapurna South glacier and back to Lodge. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 09: Trek to Kobra Danda

Trek from Khair Base Camp to Kobra Danda (4,020m/13,200ft) 4 to 5 hours. After breakfast the trek back to same trail of day before walking into the rhododendron forest and face of Mt. Dhaulagri and Nilgri. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Trek to Chhistibung

Trek from Kobra Danda to Chhistibung (3,100m/10,168ft) 4 to 5 hours. Today the trail leads west face of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna South and Himchuli. Along the trek peaceful scenery’s with enjoying the walk in the forest of rhododendron, hearing amazing sound of many kinds of birds. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Trek to Dobato

Trek from Chhistibung to Dobato (3,460m/11,350ft) 5 to 6 hours. After breakfast, the trek through into the oak and thick rhododendron forest. along the trek will see white monkeys. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12: Trek to Tadapani

Trek from Dobato to Tadapani (2,520m/8,266ft) 4 to 5 hours. The trail descends through the alpine ridge, along with the trek pine and rhododendron forest, beautiful mountains of panoramic vista. Tada means far and Pani mean water (far away from water) and get-way to Annapurna base camp too. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 13: Trek to Ghandhruk Village then Drive to Pokhara

Trek from Tadapani to Ghandhruk Village (1,950m/6,396ft) 3 hours than Drive back Pokhara 2 hours. The trail will be leading into the biggest and oldest Rhododendrons forest,  explore the traditional culture of the Gurung Museum and 2nd biggest Gurung village in Nepal. Check the Hotel, rest, and free.  Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast & Lunch

Day 14: Sightseeing in Pokhara

After breakfast, your Guide will take you around Pokhara valley. The worth places Stupa, Fewa Lake, Devi’s fall, Gupteshower Cave, Tibetan Refugee Settlement and International Mountaineering Museum. We will relax rest of the day in Hotel or Shopping around the lakeside. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast

Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 200km 6 to 7 hours. The journey will be through the Prithvi highway road passing by terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, hills and along the Marshyndi and Trishuli rivers. Check the Hotel, rest, and Alliance Adventure offering Nepali culture Dinner and hand over your trekking permit, Tims card. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 16: Departure your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure send to the airport for your to onward destination your own country.

  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus & Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc, to avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You must start to train yourself when you are free once a week or one day hiking in Mountain in your country or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We have to need your flight detail and passport photocopy and passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • Per person, 50% deposit in the company account and rest of balance whence you arrive in Hotel then clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival gate in Kathmandu airport immigration. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
