Langtang Helambu trekking is another popular trekking trail in Langtang region. The trekking in the area offers an opportunity to explore ancient villages, a wide range of animals such as red pandas, pika, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan Tahr, gharial, rhesus monkey and common langur. Subsequently, you also can enjoy the scenic views of the mountains–Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Langshisa Ri, Gangchenpo, Yala peak, Naya Kanga, Annapurna Himalaya range and enjoy with the cultural blend of Tibetan Sherpa. Langtang Helambu trekking includes the trip to the remote and spectacular valley of the region and the high mountain lake known as Gosainkunda lake. This trekking is relatively low altitude trek and is considered to be one of the best areas for having a short trek, as it is close to Kathmandu. The trek in the area lies mostly at the low altitude below 3000m, the high point is Tharepati La pass (3600m).

The trekking begins from Syabru Besi, which is 7 to 8-hour drive from Kathmandu, and then you will trek through larch and rhododendron forests which is rich in wildflowers and birds, explore the head of the valley getting close to the glacier system. Finally, you will climb the nearby peak for amazing mountain views. Subsequently, from the place, you will ascend up and pass the holy lake Gosaikunda and enter Helambu. After visiting the area and enjoying the cultural blend of diverse ethnic people residing in the area, you will return to the place called Chisapani and then return back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to Hotel then visit Alliance Adventure Pvt. Ltd will brief about your trip Langtang and Helambu Trek. Overnight at Hotel – Included Dinner

Day 02: Drive to Syabru Besi

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1,440m/4,725ft) 6 to 7 hours. During the journey you will see the countryside of lifestyle in Nepal, that’s offering Trishuli river, green hill, farms and beautiful sceneries. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel

Trek from Syabru Basi to Lama Hotel (2,470m/8,100ft) 6 to 7 hours. After breakfast, the trek starts along the river, waterfall, truly oak, bamboo and rhododendron forest and guide will stop lunch in Bamboo (1,960m/6,430ft) riverside and enjoy the sceneries. after lunch gently climb to Lama Hotel. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 04: Trek to Langtang Village

Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m/11,255ft) 5 to 6 hours. The trek continues through Langtang river, oak, pine and rhododendron forest as catching Mt. Langtang Lirung. Along the way, local people will ask you to test local mountain organic juice and yak mill. Langtang village is Tibetan and Tamang village. After check in the lodge explore the village. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Trek to Kyanjing Gompa

Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjing Gomba (3,870m/12,700ft) 3 to 4 hours. Today the trek will be more enjoyable with surrounded by snow-capped peaks. During the trek, trail following a river, big chorten mane walls, Kyanjing Gomba, is very famous for Yak cheese production and one of oldest Gomba in Langtang trek. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 06: Hike to Kyanjing Ri and rest of Day

Hiking to Kyanjing Ri (4,350m/14,268ft) 3 to 4 hours and Rest in Lodge. After early breakfast steeply climbs to Kyanjing Ri and can see breathtaking panoramic views of Langtang Peaks, spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 07: Trek back to Lama Hotel

Trek from Kyanjing Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,470m/8,100ft) 5 to 6 hours. After breakfast same way following walking down to Lama Hotel via Langtang Village. Along the trail, you will enjoy sceneries and many kind sound of birds. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 08: Trek to Thulo Syabru

Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,260m/7415ft) 5 to 6 hours. The trail through into the forest and river along to bamboo than Pairo, after Pairo walking on the left-handed side following to Thulo Syabru, is truly amazing  panoramic views of Ganesh Hill and best of scenery’s. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 09: Trek to Laurebinayak

Trek from Thulo Syabru to Laurebinayak (3,920m/12,875ft) via Shin Gompa 6 to 7 hours. The trail through Dimsa village and rhododendron, hemlock, Oak forests, fantastic views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang range, another popular Cheese factory in Shin Gompa. After lunch trek continues to Laurebinayak where we can see best panoramic views and amazing countryside sceneries. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Trek to Gosainkund Lake

Trek from Laurebinayak to Gosainkunda (4,420m/14,500ft) 3 to 4 hours: In the morning catch the sunrise over the Himalaya of  Annapurna range, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung.  Then Trek through the alpine countryside. After check-in Lodge, you will explore Gosainkund lake which is Holy Lake in Nepal and Trishuli river first point. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Trek to Gopte

Trek from Gosainkunda to Gopte (3,440m/11,285ft) 6 to 7 hours. Today trek is a bit challenging of the day. Along the trail, you will cross small lakes and Laurebinak La Pass (4,600m/15,088ft) the highest point of this trek. After that walking down to Phedi and keep continues up and down following pine, rhododendron and bamboo forest. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12: Melamchi Guan via Tharepati

Trek from Gopte to Melamchi Guan via Tharepati (3,490m/11,450ft) 6 to 7 hours. The trail through the rhododendron forest and through up to Tharepati. During the trial, you will see wonderful views of Jugal Himal, amazing sceneries of Helambu valley and Sherpa people’s cultures as Buddhist monastery’s. Overnight at Lodge – B.L.D

Day 13: Trek to Tarke Ghyang

Trek from Melamchi Guan to Tarkeghyang (2,743m/9,000ft) 5 to 6 hours. The trail walking to Sherpa settlement of beautiful Sherpa villages and one of oldest and biggest monastery’s in Helambu Village. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14: Trek to Shermathang

Trek from Trake Ghyang to Shermathang (2,621m/8,600ft) 5 to 6 hours. Today the trekking will be easier than a days before and more enjoyable with beautiful forest and Sherpa villages as monastery’s, north of facing panoramic views of Jugal Himal. Overnight at Lodge – Included Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15: Trek to Melamchi Pul Bazaar then drive back to Kathmandu

Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (8,46m/2800ft) 3 to 4 hours than Drive back to Kathmandu. After breakfast trial following the old Sherpa villages and own traditional cultures, truly amazing views of Himalayan range. During the trail interacting friendly with local people and catch transport to drive back to Kathmandu 2 hours. Overnight at Hotel – Included Breakfast & Lunch

Day 16: Sightseeing in world Heritage site & Farewell Dinner

Sightseeing in Kathmandu world heritage site and Farewell Dinner: After breakfast Alliance Adventure Tour Guide come to pick-up in your Hotel for the exploration of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu’s Landmarks that are considered as World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the houses of living Hindu goddess and “Kumari House’’.

Swayambhunath; stands top of the hill and west of the city, people mostly know as “Monkey Temple”. This has been registered in UNESCO heritage site.

Buddhanath stupa is 5 km east of Kathmandu, one of the largest in the world and number of monasteries and many Tibetan artifacts selling shops.

Pashupatinath is the Hindus holy pilgrims, most impotent Hindu Temple in Nepal and all over from India. Bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats and Stands on the banks of Bagmati River.

Day 17: Departure your Destination

Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport. Today is last minutes shopping packing and Alliance Adventure send you an airport for your onward destination to your own country – Included Breakfast

  • Strongly advised not to go wandering unless in large group (the “poor” men would have to suffer at the hands of the ladies who would want to shop), Always be aware of your surroundings.
  • Do not / not give money to street children/beggars.
  • Entrance to some temples may be prohibited for non-Hindus and Leather articles are prohibited inside temple precinct.
  • Windproof outer jacket and warm down-filled jacket if afraid of cold.
  • Comfortable trousers for men and loose skirts for women during the day.
  • Gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc, to avoid sunburn as the sun in high altitude can be quite intense.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes, warm woolen/ thermal socks. (If one is afraid of cold, otherwise, plain ol’ ordinary socks will suffice.
  • Thermal undergarments this is for the night which might be a bit cold, otherwise, tracksuit should suffice.
  • Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • You most start your train yourself when you are free once a week or one day hiking in Mountain in your country or up and down 2/3 hours morning OR evening.
  • We need your flight detail and passport photocopy and passport size photo for the trekking permit and Tims cards.
  • 50% deposit in the company account and rest of balance whence you arrive in Kathmandu airport then clear the payment in the office.
  • Nepal visa can apply on arrival visa in Kathmandu airport immigration. Nepal visa charge for 15 Days USD25 and for 30 Days USD 40.
