The highest elevation in Tibet is Mount Everest as Tibetan people’s call “Chomolungma” (highest peak of the world), located on the border with Nepal, rising 8,848m (29,022ft) above sea level. Tibet is also known by “Water Tower” of Asia.

Tibetan Buddhism is a primary influence on the art, music, and festivals of the region. Tibet has various festivals that are commonly performed to worship the Buddha throughout the year. Tibetan festivals such as Lhosar (Tibetian New Year), Shoton, the Bathing Festival and many more are deeply rooted in indigenous religion and also contain foreign influences. Tibetan festivals are a high source of entertainment and can include many sports such as yak racing. They consider festivals as an integral part of their life and almost everyone participates in the festivities. Tibet consists of many Buddhist art and architecture, monasteries, historical monuments and so on that are so amazing and beautiful to see. The dogs of Tibet are twice the size of those seen in India, with large heads and hairy bodies, can kill a tiger as they are powerful.
